Calling shutterbugs of all ages...

Pros, hobbyists, and kids of all ages are invited to enter the first Juke Joint Experience photo contest, capturing your favorite Juke Joint Festival moments.  Winners will be featured on a new, Juke Joint Edition line of postcards, and receive prizes from our fabulous businesses across Clarksdale.

 

To enter:

1. Post your best photos to Instagram or Facebook.

2. Caption each photo with a title.

3. Tag @SharedExperiencesUSA so we can find you (make sure the post settings are "Public"), and include a hashtag for one of the following categories:

 

• #JukeJointExperience - what Juke Joint 2021 looks and feels like to you: musicians behind-the-scenes; hula hoops; shared moments with kids and cars and crawdads and...

• #LiveFromClarksdale - music in action

• #SouthernPigs - pig races in action

• #ClarksdaleClassics - local business icons in action...old classic or new favorite

• #FacesOfBlues - fun or soulful expressions of musicians killin' it

Winners announced on SharedExperiencesUSA.com/Contest and in a comment on your post (when settings allow).  Please contact us to claim no later than 5/31.

Rules:  photos must be YOURS.  If under 18, contest entry must be approved by parent or legal guardian.

Winners will receive:

1)  Your photo featured in a new line of Juke Joint Edition postcards

2)  An official Juke Joint Festival poster, Live From Clarksdale swag bag (including your featured postcards!), and

3)  One of the following prizes donated by Clarksdale's local businesses:

• $250 Grand Prize from the Fiser Agency & Shared Experiences USA

• A night at the Travelers Hotel, The Gallery at Chateau Debris, Clark House Inn, Shack Up Inn, the Hopson Loft, or the Auberge Clarksdale Hostel*

• Cover and dinner for 2 (up to $75 value) at the Ground Zero Blues Club*

• Art from Doug Kosmo or a print by Stan Street from the Hambone Art Gallery

• Bragging rights!  And a certificate of Shared Awesomeness in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Fine print:  One first prize will be awarded per category, with several runners-up.  All prizes must be redeemed in the calendar year 2021.  Finalists must be prepared to submit, upon request, a high-resolution photograph of at least 300dpi or 2,000 pixels on the longest side.  Shared Experiences and prize sponsors reserve the right to disqualify submissions deemed ineligible.  Need not be present to win, but all photos must reflect this year's 2021 Juke Joint Festival experience.  Shared Experiences USA reserves the right to reproduce and publish all photos entered without additional approval, for purposes including but limited to promotion of Clarksdale, our musicians, businesses, and the Mississippi Delta; reproduced photos will include photographer credits as feasible.  Void where prohibited or restricted by law of course.
